You’re invited to tea and a tour of the historic home and studio of Carl Schmitt.

Studio is accessible from NYC via the MTA-North line, we will have a shuttle from the New Cannan Station. Please email andrew.desa@carlschmitt.org to coordinate.

The Schmitt Family home, situated in the historic Silvermine neighborhood, was designed by the artist and built by his sons in the 1930's. The painting studio on the property was used by the artist right up to his death at age 100 and still houses many of his masterpieces. Today, the property is managed by the Carl Schmitt Foundation which aims to preserve the legacy of the artist by offering exhibits, research, residences and classes in this beautiful setting just an hour away from Manhattan. Only recently has the property been open to the public. I am very excited to welcome you over for a cup of tea and a tour of the buildings and grounds of 30 Borglum Rd! Families are welcome, please RSVP.
